Hi, I am undecided between this format and the PHPBB forums. Your forums here are much cleaner than PHPBB. Are there templates for forum styles. I do know some HTML is there a way in the forum set up admin to add graphics? I am interested in adding a nice logo on the top of the page and also adding different separators which would be a GIF. Is that possible with SNITZ? how hard is it.
Thank you. |

Also, how many MB of space do you need for Snitz 300? I have 1200 mb of space on my server. |

The official Snitz build does not support several styles. I think that there is a MOD to do it, but am not sure. OTOH, there is a Snitz Speedball 3 in the works, which works of CSS so doing a style switcher would be a walk in the park; after it is done that is .
What exactly do you mean by admin adding graphics?
There is a file upload/download MOD.
Or changing the icons? That one is a big yes, and there are sites with good icons, XP styled icons, etc. (for Snitz Forum).
Changing the logo is pie. You log in as admin. Find the Admin Options (up, right, below the main navigation) link, click, then go to Main Forum Configuration; Title Image Location is where you type in the name of your logo file (logo.jpg/gif/png). That is it (you do have to upload it manually; Snitz will not do it for you).
Forum is a few MBs in size, database will need more, especially for a budding community, but 1200 is cool. |

Many are available from www.snitzbitz.com . You will also find a selection in the MOD: Completed Add-Ons and MOD: Add-ons W/Code forums here at Snitz. |

Thank you for the info. a couple of more questions if I may ask. Is it possible to have an image avatar on the left, or only Signatures?
Is there an easy way to resize a photo in post, or can you only use the width=" height=" command in HTML? |

You can place avatars any where you like, if you understand the basic ASP in question. Wait! They are on the left by default (under the username; check out my forum; in sig; for a sample).
You can turn on signatures; and/or dynamic signatures (look in the help file, in Admin Options -> Feature Configuration -> Dynamic Signature).
Which photo? User submited or? |

User submitted. From my other forum it was a problem when users would post photos, as they mostly had 17 inch screens, they post these incredibly large Photos, making people who had 15 inch screens get annoyed cause they couldnt size the photo. I was able as a moderator to resize the photo by "dragging" the photos by their corners and making the Photos smaller.
I am sure I would make a forum requirement photos must be 600x400 BUT, as we all know, we dont live in a perfect world, so, if a users posts a photo and sees it is too larger in Preview, cause it is off a link, how can he resize it? |

Are you saying the SNITZ forum software has the Dynamic signature built in the software,or Do I need a Mod.
BTW. Your forum is superb. Very professional looking. Someday I hope to have one as good as yours. The buttons look great. Great colors. |

It is built into the base code. You don't need a mod. |

[8D I checked your site and it is nicely done as well. Since you have some experience, I have found an ASP host who will install the SNITZ program for me.
In the AMIN section of SNITZ, What can I change in ADMIN for the appearance of the forum without Mods. for example- I know I can add A logo. CAN I ADD A BACKGROUND GIF, or only color. Can I change the GIF for buttons from Admin, if not how. About all I would like to do is add a logo on top, have cool buttons and Avatars. I know I need the Avatar MOD...can I do the rest from ADMIN or am I going to have to go into the code?
Thank you.
