Having this strange problem with my hosts (xsession.com) whereby the CSS file of my site seems to be getting cached somehow.
If I make any realtime changes to the file it usually takes a few minutes for the changes to show up on the site. All the other files (.htm .asp .avi etc.) seem to work fine and I can change those and see the changes right away.
I have all my browsers set to check for the latest version of pages every time and not to use any cache, so I can't make out why this might happen? |

probably because your browser caches the .css file and dosnt think twice about re-loading it...
ctrl + refresh would probably load the changes right away. |

That's what I thought at first, but no ball so far, I have to wait it out. I've read suggestions elsewhere that this is a problem with externally linked stylesheets and to develop with embedded style sheets until development is completed, then move them back to external. |

I've had this problem a couple of times with externally linked files using various browsers and hosts. To determine which one has the caching problem, point your browser directly to the CSS file and try a forced refresh. If it updates that way, it's your browser, otherwise it's the host, in which case an embedded stylesheet while developing is the way to.
