Surprise surprise, the problem is back again. this time the helpdesk are blaming the forum software.

quote:
Upon further investigating your scripts, we regret to inform you that the problem is caused due to a scripting error. Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of our support since what you're using is a third party software. However, I would suggest that you check the config.asp file under /leylandtown.info/forum/ since the problem seems to caused by a scripting error on that file.

I'm on the phone now trying to convince them that they are at fault.

Grrrr! Don't you just hate stroppy customer support operatives!

After being put on hold 4 times and hanging up 4 times after waiting too long, I'm still being told that they think it's a forum scripting error. And the person I was last talking to said "We aren't supposed to give script support"

As I expected, it was a problem with 1&1. You guys need to do something, if you get what I mean...

I have now had another email from my hosts. This is what they say about the snitz forum...

quote:
Please note that this is a scripting fault and not a server side problem. We do not fix third party script, you need to get a professional programmer to do this if you cannot.

You need to get a professional hosting service, that's what you need.

I'm trying but it's going to take a while to transfer everything.

Make a note on your calendars, my sites are back up and running.

I will try and get some feedback on the exact nature of the problem, but I don't think it is the forum code that's at fault.
