i know there has to be a simple code to tell how many days are in a month, anyone know how?

Function GetDaysInMonth(iMonth, iYear)
Dim dTemp
dTemp = DateAdd("d", -1, DateSerial(iYear, iMonth + 1, 1))
GetDaysInMonth = Day(dTemp)

So you don't need "Thirty days hath September, April, June and November, all the rest have thirty one except February which should be called Febru-vary" ?
Or an explanation of the knuckle method of figuring it out?

And that is an international method, because I even know that one.
Make a fist, start at the first knuckle of your left hand (will work from right also).
The first knuckle is January, 31 days, between first and second lies February (ok exception) 28/29 days, second knuckle is March (31 days), between second and third knuckle lies April (30 days), third knuckle is Mai (31 days) etc.
It even works for July and August since you then move from the last knuckle of you left hand to the first on your right hand (hence two months with 31 days).

You can do it all with one hand too. Make a fist and start on the bump on either side, go across valleys and peaks when you get to the last peak jump back to to the other side peak and continue.

Me too, cos I'd never heard that either we were always taught
30 days hath september, april, june and november, all the rest have 31 except february alone
