What kind of upload method does your server require? FTP, web-based control panel, etc.

Use FTP to upload the files. You should upload them to the folder where you want the forum to be located. Do you have a site to each you will add the forum, or will you have a standalone forum?

"Had no luck" - what exactly happened? It's hard to help without knowing what did occur - error messages at least.

More than likely, it's a 500 error; turn off friendly HTTP error messages in IE to see exactly what the problem is. A link to your forum would be helpful as well so we can see for ourselves what is happening.

That's a file not found error. Have you uploaded the file to the correct folder? Maybe you're not specifying correctly the forum URL?

You won't be able to install Snitz in that server, since that is a Linux server. Linux servers cannot be used with Snitz unless they have Sun One ASP installed and that one does not have it.

You cannot get it, unless you pay for it. There is a free development version, but you can't use in a live website.
