I installed this mod, but it is not working, I cannot see the spell check icon, nor does it check the spelling when I intentionally misspell words.
I do know that I cannot see the "format" icons like I can when I post here. I don't know if that's related or not.
My test forum is at http://forum.dnjhome.com/testforum and you can log in as testuser/testuser as the username/password.
Thanks!

In admin options turn HTML off and forum code on to get the formatting buttons to show up.

Shaggy,
Once again, you have shown your thorough knowledge of how the forums work. That's exactly it!
Thanks again from a newbie who's trying ;-0

You're welcome
That's actually one of the more basic things you'll learn here: HTML should never, ever be turned on for a public forum.
Another quick tip: Wait until you have one mod installed, tested and working before moving on to the next, you'll find your life a lot easier if you do so.

I'm game with that, what's the main reason for not having html turned on? Is it because people can put links & tags to other stuff in their posts that would then show inside the forum?
And you're right about doing mods one at a time, I've gotta get over my impatience...I'm unemployed right now, so I'm spending lots of time on the computer and if I can't get a mod to work I ask for help, then move on to the next mod to keep from getting bored.
Oh well, at least the unemployment checks are keeping the mortgage paid!

Having HTML turned on allows anyone who may be so inclined to execute malicious scripts that would wreak havoc on your forums. It also allows people to muck up the layout of topic.asp on you by, either accidentally or otherwise, leaving out a closing tag or ".

I thought it would check automatically also, but you have to hit the spell check button. It's in the icon row and is and ABC with a check under it. |

withanhdammit, how did you get your photo album mod to work. I'm also using the latest snitz, but I just can't get it to work and I have asked for help on this forum, but seems like everyone is having the same problem. When we tried to do an upload test, we get some error. Could you post something in this thread. Thanks!

withanhdammit, Thanks for your help. I installed Spell checker and it worked fine but is there any MOD which can be used to suggest the spelling as well.

No problem James, but you really should thank Shaggy, he helped me originally in this thread!
I'd like it to suggest corrections also, and to automatically check the spelling...both of which are way over my meager capabilities!
