In some other closed topics I heard talk of the ability to allow users to upload an avatar from their computer. There was a link to a MOD but it was dead. Does anybody know of a functioning version of this ability? |

Yes, I have seen some avatar mods that have an upload feature. Unfortunately I don't use it, and can't remember where to download them from |

No, none of those mods have the ability to allow a user to upload his own avatar. |

Dayve (Snitz Forum Moderator) modified an existing MOD written for Snitz 3.1 and 3.3. He might have updated it to 3.4.xx, but you'll have to contact him about it.
The MOD is called "MEMBER AVATAR UPLOAD AND PROPORTIONIZING MOD" and below is its description: Description: ============================================================== This mod allows members to upload their own avatar but (by) keeping the image constrained to a max width of 64 pixels wide and 100 pixel high in proportions. Images smaller than these max dimensions will also remain proportionalized. ==============================================================
Cheers,
Etymon

Is that just to piss me off, or is there a download of it somewhere? |

What's your problem? Who's pissing you off? If your going to get angry over us trying to help you either find it yourself or make your own mod. |

No, no I meant does that thing still exist anymore, or did you post the description as a tease. I take it you were serious judging by the last post. I'm not getting angry I just didn't understand your intention. |

J Man,
those MODS do have the capacity for users to upload their own avatar, you as admin can select direct apply or approved apply by admin. I use the MOD on my own forum....
I suggest you download the MODS and read the help files that come with them, it might fall into place then. |
