For some time now I've been having an intermittent problem with registrations on my forum, where people have registered and when they receive and click the activation link the message appears to tell them that they have already registered but the username is different

An example from today is:

(username) discovery
(email) troy.read@*******.com
(registered0 18 February 2005 3:53:53 PM
(days since) 0
(action) Activate Account

Clicking the activation link results in this message:

Activation is Complete!

Hi mad-angling, you have already successfully registered with us.

You may now begin posting using your UserName and Password.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks,

Dave

I've removed this mod and emptied the M_KEY column in the FORUM_MEMBERS table and this appears to have resolved the problem; only time will tell
