Hi,

As suggested here:

I modified post_info.asp to lock all new threads automatically. But I just found out the author of the thread can still post to the locked thread?. How can this be?. Is there a way I can limit this?

Thanks in advance,

Not for sure...but I would put my money on Member allowed Edit in the topic.asp. I have not seen the thread regarding what changes were made in post_info.asp but if you have the ability to edit a post you have this ability because of topic.asp. You may want to look for something like below in the topic.asp and trash it. Remember this is an untested theory so back her up before you staret modifying.

if (AdminAllowed = 1 or TMember_ID = MemberID) then

TMember_ID = MemberID IS THE KEY! Look for that piece somewhere in topic.asp (where the topic is locked) and it SHOULD work. I may be wrong so if I am please let this prson know as I have NOT attempted this to my forum.

If You Have to Ask, You Wouldn't Understand.
