I am reading the readme.txt and it refers to another zip called admin.zip after the forum zip has been extracted. I can't see this file anywhere? is this a misprint, or has the forum been updated since?

I think it means tools.zip, which should be in the zip file.

Except if you downloaded one of the alpha versions.
There tools.zip is replaced by a directory tools with all the stuff in it that used to be in tools.zip
