Hi,
I've recently started using a snitz forum and have not done much tweaking to it.
My problem is when i try post on my forum using Internet Explorer 6 with SP1, I get an error that pops up when I click or type in the message box.
It's the usual runtime error message that says:

A Runtime Error has occured.
Do you wish to debug?

Line: 273
Error: Object Expected

Or if I click on one of the smilies, I get the same error message, except this one is on line 230.

The address is:
http://www.sagi.co.za/forum/forum.asp
(or http://www.sagi.co.za/forum/post.asp?method=Topic&FORUM_ID=3 or just go to sagi.co.za and click on the forum link on the left).
You'll have to register.

I found that these 2 problems also occur when I try post on this forum when using IE 6 (line 230 for the smilies, and line 273 for the text box).

However when I use Mozilla Firefox on my forum, I am able to click and type in the message box, but when I click on one of the smilies, nothing happens. Everything works perfecly when I use Mozilla Firefox and post on this forum.

When I post on this snitz forum: http://www.oxfordshireforums.co.uk/default.asp?CAT_ID=20
using IE6, the smilies work, but I can't click or type in the message box.

When I view my forum on my computer's localhost using IIS, everything works fine.

The server my site is hosted on, is a windows 2000 server.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Works fine for me. Sounds like a problem with your computer.
Try updating your java - http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

It could also be an overactive firewall changing the javascript on those pages. Zone Alarm used to do it on my computer until I un-installed it.

I updated my java and the problem is still there.

I don't think my computer has any firewall enabled.

A few other people I know have tried to post on my site from their computers and they also had the same problem.

Any more help will be appreciated.
