I'm trying to use the data in the mySql database to build static copies of the individual forum topics so that Google will index them.
I know that the functions that parse the forum code are in the inc_func_common.asp but, I can't figure out which function or functions I need to call. The same is true for the date formating.
Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.”
OK, I have implemented the mod you suggested. I can say it does work however, it doesn't process the forum code to html. It also uses a refresh as a redirect which means Google will not index the page. The TopicMaker mod is a nice start to a potentialy great tool for snitz users. In order to improve upon it I need to know what function or functions to call to parse the forum code into html. Do I just pass the forum coded string to function FormatStr(fString) in inc_func_common.asp? The code has very little comments. Is there any documentation on parsing the forum code or inc_func_common.asp?
