I want to have the option to write html in topics without it being formatted. In other words I, sometimes, don't want line breaks added when I write straight html. It makes a mess of the everything as you many of you already know. If I'm not being clear when I write html the forum interprets every line return as a BR tag...this of coarse makes a mess of tables. I don't want to completey disable this feature since users don't want to have to write BR tags all the time. I just need an admin option. The only work around I have is to delete ALL the line returns and tabs in my code...what a mess. Is there another way?
Hi Steve, I just tried this mod and it "almost" solved the problem. Do you know why it still keeps adding br / tags? I'm not familiar with this. It's apparently like a break tag with a slash. It's, I'm assuming, being added by the forum code and is acting like a return key, adding a line break on its own.
This is a real pain. I did get this mod working alright but it didn't solve the problem I was after.
You gave me an idea for a MOD. It's not working yet, but you can keep track of it here.
