No one have a solution? I think many of you have the possibility to sent mail to all the members - how do you do this? Do you use another MOD?

you never said what the problem is that you are having. How is anyone supposed to know the solution, if they don't know the problem? |

OK - sorry - but if you get to here http://whipp.us/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=18 where I link to you will get this question ---------- After a lot of test I have discovered that when I write a big message it's not sent but when I only write a couple of words it's being sent. So have many words must I write for the message to be sent to all members?
Could it have something to do with that I have http:// links in the big message which was not sent?

It could be a limitation of the e-mail component that you are using on your site.
I don't see any replies from you on that topic, just the main topic and 1 reply by kwhipp |

Thanks for your reply. I have discovered why my message is not showing and it's because it has not been moderated by the owner of the forum. I can't get in contact with him. I get my mails back from "kwhipp" and I have also tried to contact him from this forum without luck. :-(
But I would like to know if some of you have used this MOD without problems writing longer messages?

I have used it without any problems, if you have lots of members you need to just send a bunch at the time, I use alphabet. |

Thanks for your answer. There are 41 members and when I use ALL it's not sent but now I tried your suggestion and sended it from "A-F" and "G-M" and "N-S" and "T-Z" and then I succeed'ed.
So I think that 41 members is too many to send to if the message are big. It's ok if it's only a couple of words. |

41 is not too many - I have over 900 members.
But I guess it depends on the server. Please note that sending mail from an ASP form is not the best way. Consider creating a mailinglist instead. |

I changed the code so that it sended to "A-B", "C-D", "E-F" etc. It's not too difficult to change the code. If you want me to post it, let me know.
41 certainly shouldn't be a problem. I used the PM Mod to send a Happy New Year message to all of my members and (rather annoyingly) it timed out after sending PMs and emails to over 2000 members. |

I have now got a mail from my webhost about a problem with JMail which is used on my hotel.
http://azero.dk/support/programmering/asp/komponenter/jmail/ "JMail smider hver 22-ende e-mail væk, hvorfor?"
I will try to translate it: JMail loose every 22nd e-mail, why?
When you send emails from homepages via websmtp.dit-domaene.dk and Jmail you shall remember to close your connection, minimum after each twenty email. If you don't do this every 22nd email in a loop will not be sent. Under here is an example of a loop which will make a JMail.Close for very 20nd e-mail:
For i = 1 to intCount If Not JMail.Execute Then Response.Write("ERROR MESSAGE: " & JMail.ErrorMessage & "<br>" & vbCrLf) Response.Write("ERROR SOURCE: " & JMail.ErrorSource & "<br>" & vbCrLf) Response.Write("LOG: <pre>" & JMail.Log & "</pre>" & vbCrLf) End If If CInt(i/20) = i/20 Then JMail.Close Next BUT where shall I put this code?
I have uploaded this two files but I'm not sure that it should be in here http://www.terapeutuddannelse.dk/snitzdk/admin_pop_mail.asp.txt http://www.terapeutuddannelse.dk/snitzdk/admin_home.asp.txt

Do I have to tell my customer what this MOD can't be used sending ALL and that she has to use "A-F" and "G-M" and "N-S" and "T-Z" to get it functioning?
And is it only JMail there is the problem or is it both JMail and the host Azero together?

Do you then copy the message to for instance notepad and paste it in again and so on to send the message 4 times or what do you do?
I think you should write about this problem in the MOD to help other users with the same problem
