Hi, i just tried to install the Avatar Mod. After i had finished when i clicked to return to the forum it came up with this error:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'

Could not find file 'd:\1n\conqug\snitz_forums_2000.mdb'.

/conqug/forum/inc_header.asp, line 111

I dont know wot it means. wot does the d:\ mean.

If you want i can let u go on the site using an admin account, or a can let you log into my webhost's file manager where all the forum files are stored

The error message means it can not find your database file, did you perhaps accidently overwrite your config.asp file when you were trying to add the MOD ?

The D:\ is referring to the "D" drive on your hosts server.

Edit config.asp so that it points to your database.

You have to upload all of the changed files for the mod to work.

I woudln't recommend that personally, if you have applied a MOD already to your forum this will most likely break it. You may also end up overwriting your config.asp which as you've found out will also most likely break your forum.

Most MOD's contain a readme.txt file or similar which list the exact changes to make to each of your existing files and you should follow those instructions. For brand new files that don't exist already in your forum then its fine to upload them, but avoid uploading existing files with any supplied in a MOD.
