I got the following email from someone I know that is overseas and was wondering if any of you guys would have any ideas since I have no idea what could be causing this.....

Is it too obvious to ask if they're using games/DVDs from the same region as the X-box was originally purchased?

Mine had the Thompson drive, and I managed to knock the lens off the laser when a disk broke. Same error.
