First I was wondering if there was a way of using ms sql with this moded forum. Some of the things I have tried so far and had some success, I installed an un moded version and then installed all the data files that came with the mysql or access snitz forum 25 mods config max by choppermc. Then copied his moded version over top. this kind of worked, but had some data base errors. Most errors went away when I actually gave it data. Some have not gone away. I am also worried that some are not found yet.

So was that a good way to make it MS sql friendly? Or was I out to lunch?
Is there an easier way? Or should I just try to fix the problems that have been cropping up?

the problems that have been manifesting themselves are the link manager gives me the following error. Some of the page shows and one category.

quote:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Invalid column name 'SHOWLINKS'.

/links.asp, line 1471

-when I go into the links admin I get this error
quote:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

Invalid column name 'SHOWLINKS'.

/admin_Links.asp, line 584

And yes, I am a glutton for punishment... But I would love to hear any advice or fixes you might be able to offer.
