The bottom line is, Tables were not intended for construction of pages. As it was already pointed out it was intended for tabular data

One of my bookmarks I haven't visited in a long time. It's not completely tableless but they're almost there

unless I am blind, there are ZERO tables on this forum page.

Ah, now I see. Thanks for clearing that up. But...woow...if we'd convert snitz into a divved forum instead of a tabulated forum.....that would certainly mean a LOT of work.

Sorry dayve, I meant the topics and thread pages. I should have pointed that out .

They were still using a tables the last time I was there. I guess that was awhile back though.

CSS Zen Garden is a perfect example of just how powerful CSS can be when used for layout purposes; every layout on the site uses the exact same HTML file with a customised CSS file and a few custom images. Pretty big learning curve, though, for those of us who've spent a (online) lifetime using tables for layouts and there's still a lot of cross browser issues that need to be hammered out - Woo.ie started off being completely tableless until I ran into some issues with Internet Explorer so I had to bring a few of them back.

Should a forum not be considered tabular data, could argue either way I suppose
