I'm almost certain there's a mod out there for this, but I cannot seem to find it.
This is what I want :
If someone is not logged in to the forum he/she can only reply to existing (public) topics. That's good.
If a user would want to do that, he/she'd click on the 'Reply to topic' button, and he/she would be transferred to post.asp, and one would see the username and password box being empty.
Now, I want to add a checkbox called 'Post as Guest', which simply needs to be checked to use it.
With that box checked, the post should be made using a userid/password that is not known to the poster.
In that way, he/she cannot edit the profile, cannot delete posts made by other guests etc etc.
I guess I need to make some changes to post.asp and post_info.asp, and possibly to config.asp (for setting the variable member_id for the guest account) but I'm not sure where to start.
Both post.asp and post_info.asp are cluttered with instances of UserName and Password.

Doramoon, i think is her name, has an anonymous posting mod available at snitzbitz.
I also have an anonymous access mod that you can preview at my forum. Let me know if you want it.
Apart from those 2, I know of no other. |

Okay...checked Doramoon's mod, but I think I'm more happy with your (Davio's) mod....
