What program do you use to copy a vinyl disK to CdR? I want to keep the track breaks , etc. Its not that they are scratched or anything, i just want to be able to play them in my car.

Presumably i connect my amp to the line-in on my sound card.

TIA

I´ve used a CD recorder for hi-fi use for this - much much better quality.

I have a turntable and use a no-longer-available program CoolEdit 2000. Adobe bought this program and it's morphed into their pricey audio suite that I've never used.

Cool Edit has decent tools to find track breaks in the waveform and save them in a batch mode as individual wav files.

Nero 6 Ultra burns the CD. Name each wave file with the song name btw.

I use SureThing Labeler to make CD and jewel case labels. SureThing can import the track names from the cd so you don't have to retype them.

I've converted a lot of old records, reel-reel tapes and cassettes to CD and they come out pretty decent.

Thanks for the suggestions. those verbatim cds are well funky ! I'll have to search around some more for the software. If i had a standalone hifi CD recorder it'd be easy! thanks.
