Hello,

I had started a topic and as it went on I realized this is a bug. I've tried some stuff to try to fix it but can't get it right.

To sum it up a subtraction method needs to be added/replaced to the code on default instead of the ignore active topic count if there is a private forum.

I'm not complaining...I just like the feature and would like it to work on default even if there is a private forum.

moved to Dev Discussions, since technically it is designed that way so it isn't a bug.

Yes, Thank you...Since starting the original topic I've found that out.

However I'm still hoping that one of the Snitz Gurus can take a crack at making it work with private forums when they have an extra minute.

I gather the option to ignore the active topics counts when there are Private Forums was done to simplify the code. Am I right?

I've been searching for a topic where this was discussed (haven't found it yet, but I'm pretty sure it was added during the v3.4 development stage). I do remember discussing this sometime in the past. It was probably done this way to either reduce database queries, or to simplify the code (or both).
