Hi!

Sorry my bad english, I´m from Austria.

I installed the new Snitz Forum 3.4.05.
Any user get an error when they click on the link in the confirm email and I cannot activate them in the admin-options->members pending (1) getting the same error. The error is:

Fehler '80020009' (Translation-> Error '80020009')

Ausnahmefehler aufgetreten. (Translation-> exception error occurred)

/forum/inc_func_common.asp, line 282

What did I wrong? Everything else is working fine.
I use MySQL 4, Windows 2000 with latest updates. I have enough memory (1Gig). I found no error in this line.

function chkString(pString,fField_Typ...
        fString = trim(pString)

In pString is the word '[error]' nothing else. Maybe the error is generated in previous code. I disabled the Bad-Words and Username check. Nothing worked. I thought maybe it could be the german date/time settings?

And second: the pending members get the email with the link. But they get an .com added, but nowhere I told the forum to do so. i.e.

http://www.pr***.cc.com/forum/register.asp?actkey=40bn31yu4gqv17uvg19502nbo45y68q0

Where can I fixed that?

yours

Ok, that does it. Never (ever) waited sooo long for a answer! I really liked the outline and easyness of installation!

I swiched to phpBB Forum based, which is too on MySql 4 and it work´s. This error is I think such small but no answer. So byebye.

yours,
Alexander Predl

The error is caused by MySQL 4.1. Here is the fix: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=55925

It doesn't do much good now, but you could have bumped your topic sooner...
