Here is my mock up

*removes sunglasses*

might want to make your colors consistant for one... and you really want bright white annoying static snowmen as the background on your forum?

Okay, here's one piece of advise I'll give you free of charge. All other advise will cost you US$0.00 per word.

Get yourself a decent host and drop the whole idea of using frames by "converting" your site to either ASP or PHP and using includes for repeated areas of the pages (like navigation).

It's not entirely clear to me what you're asking for. Do you want to have the forums' navigation to the left, and the tables with the forums/topics/posts on the right?

Roland I can tell you shoot from the hip without looking at
what your talking about I have my site set up on a asp server.
you didn't dig deep enough. And Roland I seen your other comments to other people and I wouldn't pay you 2 cents for your advice.

as always anyone that
wants to discuss snitz and web
page layouts let me know.

Roland knows what he's talking about... if I ever need any information, opinion, or FACTS about website cosmetics or image design, or web style, that's who I'd go to.

He is right you know... frames went out of style with windows 95 (or earlier). Whenever SSI came about, thats when I said goodbye to frames. They're not visually appealing at all. You have to really know what you're doing to make a site with frames very user-friendly.

Frames can still be extremely useful under certain circumstances though e.g to help reduce bandwidth.

Sure frames can be useful, but they're as much of a PITA as entire flash websites when it comes to user friendliness.

Sorry DeflyZero, but this reaction towards someone who's trying to help you is completely out of line! He said to use a DECENT host, and WebSamba doesn't fit thát defention.

If you know it so well, just sort it out yourself, but trust me on this one: Your mock up is ugly, the frames are useless, you have linked towards the wrong targetframes, your frontpage is SO ugly it frightens me.
But okay, if you think I'm wrong, you can just tell me in your reply that you 'wouldn't pay 2 cents for my advice'....
What advice do you want to hear ? That your site is great ? And that it is cool to use bright colors on a black background with a serif font, with virtually no structure in the layout ?
That it's cool to use frames ?
Come on...

Ok Sorry if I insulted anyone.
But I didn't ask about ASP Hosts now did I ?
I asked about style and if I want frames that's up to me.
All I want is to make my snitz message board look like this site per
forum. http://forums.delphiforums.com/SimplyMsB2/messages

If anyone wants to just talk about that I'm all ears.
I know the front page is ugly I did it fast and I am now
just getting to the graphics and style portion.
the hard part was cobining the snitz database with the natterchat
database.
