Hello,

I have searched and cannot find anything on this issue so I suppose it must just be something with my set up.

When the search link at the top of the page is clicked and the visitor is logged in the search window (search.asp) opens perfectly. When the visitor is not logged in - we get a 500-100 error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime (0x800A000D)
Type mismatch: 'chkForumAccessNew'
/forum/search.asp, line 179

We are running on a Windows 2003 server with the latest version of snitz (did upgrade with replacement files zip) with no Mods.

Also we have two forums running under two different web sites and both have this same result.

Any help would be truely appreciated.

Make sure you have uploaded the file named inc_func_secure.asp into your forum folder.

Excellent - now the forum asks for windows authentication and won't let anyone in at all. Permissions issue.

I checked the two files and the old one was around 16k and the newer one was 18k. However, I compared the two files (ver 34_04 and ver 34_05) side by side and they are exactly the same except for the version number at the top of the file.

I guess I won't be looking forward to any more future upgrades. Hours of time spent trying to get something to work again that was actually working perfectly before I did the "upgrade."

Is it possible to roll back to the previous version and use the existing DB?

Thanks again for your time.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with the forum or any of it's files, it is a file/website permission issue and was not caused by the forum

Huwr was just saying you shouldn't blame the upgrade for that situation...
