Ok, I am using the Snitz Forums 2000 Version 3.1 SR4

is there a way to set it up where the members have to be logged in to read the boards?

and can you ban people with this version??

Thank you in advanced!

Hmmm... not sure about it, but edit the forum properties and check whether there is an Auth Type with the value of Members Only. If there is such a value, select it and do this for each of your forums.

Ahh... and regarding the banning of users, it's not available in that version, in the base code.

3.1 SR4 did not have this feature. I know you have your reasons, but I'd seriously consider upgrading. That version had its fair share of security holes, especially if not patched.

Update: okay I see you're considering upgrading already: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=111

I would love to upgrade, the problem is I didn't install the original version...and I don't know how to upgrade...I don't want to mess anything up!

To upgrade you'll just need to follow th instructions in the readme file. We can provide help, but let's stick to the other topic for that.
