I keep getting this error code below every now and then when I go to my forum hosting on my home machine. Below is what I see in IE. I am using XP Pro and SQL 2000.

Please help if you know what is going on.

500 - Internal Server Error

http://www.example.com/forum/pop_profile.asp?mode=ModifyIt&id=4

[code=ICAP_RESPMOD_IO_BODY_FAIL] An IO failure occurred during the response modification of the body. Contact your system administrator.

Looks like there is some hardware problem with your server. Do as suggested in the error message and contact your host.

I am the host. I am running on my home computer and no ftp necessary.

What is ModifyIt&id=4 that I see on the link? It is an SQL problem?

I wonder what is going on.

I don't know what causes that. I suspect something with IIS, but I've been unable to find anything on that specific error message online.

What IIS version are you running?

I cannot find these type of error too in the search engine.

Every now and then, I get this 500 - Internal Server error thing, especially when I update something.

I am running it on an XP Pro and I think the IIS is 5.1 and only have Service Pack 1a on it. I dont dare do SP2 yet.

My SQL 2000 has Service Pack 3a.

Do you think I click too fast or something did not update? Cookies perhaps? I delete the cookies and still the same.

Sounds like you might need to reinstall IIS. Never heard of that error before.

I have. After I change something, I always stop and start my IIS. I have check my IIS is not in debug mode too. Including reboot of my router too.

I dont have this problem when I am at home. Of course this is on intranet.

I think my hd should be OK. Have lots of ZIP files on there and nothing seems bad.

Looking at the error message below, I see something about ModiyIt&id=4 and IO failure??? What are these?

What error message you reffering to? The one you posted in your first post?

This is the second time you are reffering to this. Where are you getting that there is a problem with ModifyIt&id=4? The modifyit is part of the url you were trying to access: www.example.com/forum/pop_profile.asp?mode=ModifyIt&id=4. You were obviously submitting modifying someone's profile when you get the error. As for the IO error, isn't that what we are trying to help you with?

To be 100% sure, do a CHKDISK. It won't hurt. We have no idea what the error means or what is causing it. So doing a CHKDISK won't hurt.

Does the Event log give any extra details for the error message?

Podge.
