I have IIS installed on my machine.

I go into IIS and create a virtual directory and point to the /forum/ folder and it also name 'forum'.

I stop and start IIS.

I have set up my SQL 2000 server and create an empty database for it.

I put this in IE: http://localhost/forum/setup.asp

And all I get is 'The page cannot be displayed'. What did I do wrong please?

check the permissions on the /forum/ directory. Make sure your IUSER_MACHINENAME user has the proper permissions on that directory.

I read more of the answers posted here and I read one of the msg about turn off the 'Turn off friendly HTML error' and it tell me to go to check the EVENT log in Admin in Win2000 and it got all types of error which I cant explain.

I was on VPN also and I wonder if it had anything to do with it. I was using my work computer and will find out next Mon.

I got Snitz to work finally with my XP on localhost for now and I am very happy. Thanks Snitz!
