Hi All, I've forgotten the admin password, so followed the directions in this post:
http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53617&SearchTerms=password
edited the config.asp and changed "Const intAdminMemberID = 6" to the new user id. Then uploaded the edited config.asp file... the forum is now no longer visable?
Any suggestions of what I should do
Thanks again

It's possible that the file became corrupted somehow. |

are you uploading it in ASCII mode or in Binary mode? Make sure you upload it in ASCII mode.
Is your site accessible on the Internet? If so, can you post the link to it? |

here is the error that I see:
quote: Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80004005'
Unrecognized database format 'e:\inetpub\esvc001148\database\OSH_forum_04.mdb'.
/forum/inc_header.asp, line 114
sounds like your database might have become corrupted. |

The forum was working fine just before made the change to the config.asp file. Could doing that corrupt the database?
Or should I be running setup again??
cheers

No, editing config.asp will not corrupt the database. Do you have Microsoft Access ? If so, can you try downloading your database and open it in Microsoft Access? |
