Greetings
I have run the Snitz Forums on my site for around 18 months. I have had no problems with it whatsoever until about two or three months ago. I went onto my site one evening, went to the forums page and there were no forums. At first I though the hosting company had overwritten or done something to the database. I downloaded the database and found all the forums intact. I did not have a clue why the forums stopped working.
Anyway I downloaded the update at the time, I think I have got the last but one updater. The forums seem to work pretty well, but a couple of issues -
When you make or edit changes to the Forum, add a new message, blah blah, the forum tables do not show when you click on the submit button, only the header section, it is not till I click on the Image link to take me back to the main forum page do the forum table show. Any ideas why the page does not automatically load.
The second thing is various buttons do not work, for instance as administrator you have got delete forum, lock forums, edit delete moderators, each of these brings up a new window, but it says This Page Cannot Be Displayed. All the pages are in one directory, all pages are uploaded, checked and double checked, any ideas on this one.

Sorted the broken links out, rather than downloading an upgrade version I downloaded the full version, overwrit all files on the server.
Still when a user posts a message, only the header section shows, any ideas

What exactly do you mean by "forum table doesn't show"?
Do you have a test account we can login with? |

Hi
I don't think I could have explained it any more, forum tables is the forum tables, none of the forums show when you add a new topic, edit a topic, edit anything.
I have just tried to register a guest account, got to the terms and conditions page, and nothing happened.
If anybody can help, I would appreciate it.

It seems to work fine for me, I really don't understand what you mean, everything displays fine when I post a topic and edit a topic.
BTW: if anyone else wants to try I registered as Jezmeister, password: test |

Hi Guys
Thanks for testing, I now sort of know what the problem is, basically I got a new computer last week, and I think it is blocking some of the scripts. The only thing I can think of is Norton Internet Security. I knew the broken links were not being caused by that, so after applying the latest download, those worked. I tested the register process but everytime I clicked on the agree button for T+C it kept displaying the policy page not where you entered the details, etc. At least I now know the forums are working and it is just my machine. Pah to Norton.
