I really hope this won't seem self-serving because I have to mention my site to make this point. But I have to share the fact with all of you that Ranko Marinic has done the most incredible customization and integration of the Snitz forum into our site at www.GayRites.net/forum . He's developed an ad rotation capability, completely changed the icon sets, integrated it into the look and feel of the rest of the site, added a newsletter subscription and management function, a bunch of other behind the scenes functions ... and on and on and on. I hope that this community will acknowledge his truly excellent work. |

It looks great, the icons fit in perfectly and are as clear as you can make those kinds of small icons. You should nominate your forums in the AWD General Discussion forum :) |

Thanks, Roland, I will, though I am just a little slow on the uptake, eh? I've actually been spending a lot of time on my "real" job and I forget to check this string. Where's that subscribe button? :) |

The only thing i would do to add to this forum would be use a new set of smilies, maybe with a green or red tint to them. |

When i started with the forum hell i did know asp at all but by many hours of hard work when you try to add some thing or remove you get erors. And icons are hard to make too because first of all i dont mess with grafix im beter with the code and you have think ho do i do it that it would look great and still people would uderstand what it means. Thanks for reading. |

Enter, I'm not sure what you're trying to point out, but regardless of how many hours was spent into the creation of a forum, if someone posts it here for comments, they need to take the good with the not-so-good, which only helps them get a collective group of thoughts and ideas to improve upon their forum. |

I was sure I allready replied here...
The smiles I want to use are yellow for a visual break, and to get the "old school" feel of the smiles. Besides, yellow is pretty , and green smiles always look sickly to me.
David wasn't trying to insult anyone, or imply that everyone else is slacking, and that I work harded than coal miners; he just dosen't get all this stuff and it looks like magic to him.
OTOH, I too learned so much from Snitz I should fly to Richard's place and give him flowers, burn some incense in his name and buy him a dinner followed by a night of debauchery.
The good community is recognised by handing out quality comments; not just the praize. |
