I have a five-page topic and I was trying to link directly to one of the posts on page (4) so I used the following link:

http://www.site.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1479#23393

The problem is this takes me to the first topic.

BTW, I was using the topic url mod to generate this link. It used to work but now it doesn't so I'm wondering what's going on. Should that link work? If not, why did it work before?

you aren't specifying that it should goto the 4th page.

try it like this:
