Hello there,
I've got a problem concerning email notifications! How do I achieve email notifications for any user in the forum (Snitz Forums 2000 version 3.4.03 as it seems) when a new reply to a thread comes in???
Can I already do it in the standard installation or is there a MOD or an ADD-ON needed???
All the best, thanks, yours, rollerman |

It's called Topic Subscriptions and the settings are in your Snitz Admin screens.

It's relatively self explanatory, have you had a look to see for yourself? or search for "subscriptions" here on the forum? theres many posts discussing this. |

Thanks for the hints, but some links are dead and the discussions whether email notification or subscriptions are better or not are a little bit too much! I just want to add the possibility that any user can state that he or she wants to be notified when someone replies to his or her post/thread! How can I do this in the easiest way? Suscriptions like her http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53048???
Thanks a lot!

Yes, it's the easiest way. And yes, all users will see the icon to subscribe to those items for which you have, as an admin, enabled that possibility. |
