I just would like to know if there's a way to avoid those black stripes at the bottom of the posts, visible when the posts are really short.

The only black strip I see is the <hr> between the message and signiture.
Like this one.
Is that the one you mean?

Hmm, I didn't see anything either. If there is a signature as cripto9t said, then there is a <hr> above the signature, other than that it looks OK to me.

On some posts, the <hr> is too long. maybe that?
