Hi evry1! I am a great newbie , I want to install avatar mod and update database (mine is Ms Access,on www.1asphost.com), but when I followed the instruction, the very first step I entered admin control panel, then the Mod Setup, I dont see any dropdown list for choosing Avatar Mod to update my database except for a blank table requiring me fill in the code number to process, I really dont know what it means and how to go on, can somebody help me, It's urgent for me? Thank you very much, indeed.
Ps: I dont know I posted this topic in the right place or not, if not can you notify me. |

If you downloaded the ZIP, there must be a dbs_xx.asp file inside. If you upload that dbs file to the forum folder, you should see it in the dropdown. |

I have checked many times. Is it the file named: dbs_avatar.asp? It is in my forum folder. But still i cannot see any change. There is no dropdown list. By the way i am a bit supprise about the size of the above file to be 0 Kb, is there something wrong with this file, I suppose its size should be a possitive number . Anyway I really need your help. |

Oh, I have fixed that problem by following the way of pasting the code to the editting board of alternative Mod setup. But then I tried several functions from avatar setup in admin panel it happened:
1, when i used avatar from a URL and addressed for a member, then appeared this message:
"Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'
Duplicate output destination 'M_AVATAR_URL'.
/myname/forum/pop_profile.asp, line 1569"
2, I used mass add then appeared:
"Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01ad'
ActiveX component can't create object: 'Scripting.FileSystemObject'
/myname/forum/admin_avatar_mass_add.asp, line 83"
3, When i used avatar upload function then appeared a message below:
"Avatar Files
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed
/myname/forum/avatar_upload.asp, line 133
Invalid ProgID. For additional information specific to this message please visit the Microsoft Online Support site located at: http://www.microsoft.com/contentredirect.asp."
I am so frustrated, could you help me to sort it out?
By the way, could you give me some tip of choosing the best ASP host for my forum that will ease my further updates and all the other concerning matters.

1. Looks like you added the changes twice, but what is line 1569 ?
2. You will always get this on 1asphost
