I saw a long time back somewhere a script where you could drill down through dropdown list entries as you type.

ie. type "e" and it scrolls to the entries beginning with "e". add a "a" to the "e" and it scrolls to all the entries beginning with "ea".

any ideas?

that is close to what I am looking for... however I need it to be on the dropdown itself... like how you can type "e" on a standard dropdown box and it scrolls to the entries beginning with "e".... however if you have more than one entry beginning with "e" you have to keep pressing "e" until you find the entry you are looking for or manually scroll through and search for it....

I want to be able to press "e" and then "g" and it scrolls to the entry beginning with "eg"...

though after looking at that script it could be modified to do that...

after playing with it a bit, it did not pan out.... anyone have anymore ideas??
