When trying to Activate a new user, the Admin received the following error message:

error '80020009'
Exception occurred.
/forum/inc_func_common.asp, line 284


Note: the version of the forum is 3.4.03 and was installed in 2003.

I searched for this error meessge but did not find anything like
it. There were a few bug fixes to the same includable module but
I don't wish to apply a patch without first researching the matter.

You should always add the big fixes.

Try added the bug fixes to this file then see if you still get this error. Post back then.
