OK, so some people like it some don't. That's fine with me.
For those who want an account, it looks like Google made it easier to give them out. I just noticed that when someone e-mails me there is a link at the bottom of the e-mail to invite them to join GMail.
Sooo... if anyone would like an account just e-mail me with you first and last name and I'll send one your way.
If you don't want one or hate the idea of web based mail or GMail specifically, no need to reply to this post.
