Has anyone upgraded to this yet? I read a few reviews and can't tell if you can or can't play radio stations with it. If you can't then I don't want to download it. I don't use that option often, but I don't want to lose features either. |

I do not see any reason why they would remove the option to listen to radio stations. The places that let you stream there station have installed Windows Meda Streamer for the server so do not see why they would discontunie both. |

I installed it then went back to the beta I have of it.
I don't like the way they have changed the UI since the beta. |

Rich, I don't know if it is possible with Media Player, but it is possible with other programs like Winamp. I have never done it with streaming radio programs (only radio programs coming through my radio), let me do a little research and get back to you. |

You would most likely be in breach of several copyrights if you did. |

Recording TV for personal use on your VCR constitues fair use. I'd guess that recording radio or even internet streams with Winamp would fall under a similar interpretation as long as you weren't redistributing the content. But you probably already knew that.

As far as I know (and I could be wrong) fair use laws apply to online radio stations as long as they don't publish a schedule or ordered list of songs to be played.
In the EU I believe its against the law reguardless. |

We have a jazz station that, on Saturday evening through Sunday, plays all Blues. . . (KPLU, Tacoma, Washington)
Its really good party blues, but when we're partying (barbecue on the deck/patio) I can't pay attention to who the artists is.
Sometimes I'll run in the house to write it down, but the radio station just goes onto the next tune.
I need to record several hours of air time just to find out who an artist is.
(If you rub olive oil on a hot grill just before searing a steak, it will keep the meat from sticking and give good grill lines - two minutes, flip, two minutes and flip again to get cross-grill marks) |

You're right. We've been buying these thick steaks (about 50 mm thick and a little bigger around) so they take the heat.
The tip works on fish too but use a much shorter time. Mmmmmm. . . |

So there is no way to record streaming radio for free? I have found a few paid programs that does it, but no free programs. |
