Thats a issue with the default value for the field, which should be set to 0. I also suspect that you will have other problems with the forum, since the error you're getting means the database upgrade process was not correctly done. When did you do the upgrade and how was it done?

We imported the tables from Access to MSSQL about a week ago.

There is a recommended procedure to upgrade from SQL to Access: http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=31144

This should be followed to avoid problems like the ones you're facing.

How did you import the tables then? Can you use other tools?

You open MS SQL with what? I can only think that you used Enterprise Manager, that is, that you used DTS from Enterprise Manage to do that. MS SQL has no other tool that I know of to do that. This being the case, I don't know why can't you follow the advice for the move from Access, as per the link I posted before.

You can connect to MS SQL if you upsize from Access. Access creates a link using a shortcut.

Ah, I see. Well if you can't connect using EM and your host does not provide this kind of service, I suspect there ain't much that you can do.

Why can't you use Enterprise Manager? Could you use some other app, if available, or does your host forbid outside access to the database server?
