Hi Folks,

Simple question. How hard is it to get broadband internet in the UK?

I've been hearing a lot stuff from various quarters and thought that I'd get the opinion of the UK techie crowd.

I'm definitely not going back to dial-up.

depends entirely on where you live, but most places are now able to get ADSL

If you are in an area with cable (NTL or Telewest) then get cable it is faster, otherwise you will have to go with ADSL, there are many companies offering it.

Easy to get and available almost everywhere, £20 per month will get you a 0.5Mb connection

hmm a good idea is to check with www.bt.com/broadband/ that where you're going has broadband and at what speed

Thanks a lot, Guys.

You can get an ADSL modem for Yahoo!BB in front of just about any train station now. 12 or 24 Mb. I never appreciated that until this move.
