I have Mike's File Upload mod installed on 3.4.04. After I upload a file and post, the resultant post displays this message:

Download Attachment: |img|images/icon_paperclip.gif|/img| Law Exp.xls

I substituted the vertical bar (|) for the opening and closing square brackets to stop this forum from trying to render the code.

Anyway, should it the |img|images/icon_paperclip.gif|/img| be generating a paperclip icon image, not showing up in the post as code?

I have no idea what I did but I reinstalled about 3 times and it finally started working correctly...

Case closed...

Sounds like you may have had images turned off in your admin options.
