Hi

I am having a problem loggin in to my forum. I always get redirected back to the login page (after getting the 'login successful' message), which is not very useful

I have checked the dates on the server and PC, and they are fine (Ihave searched for a solution on this forum !!)
What seems to be causing the issue is the fact that the forum is in a redirected domain:

the forum physically sits at www.bathandbristolmusic.co.uk/drumcraft/forum . If I use this path, everything works fine. However, users access it from www.drumcraft.co.uk/forum (the domain is redirected to the above), and this is where the problem happens.

Any ideas ?

Thanks
Martyn

The problem is that the drumcraft.co.uk address uses frames. When logging in, the cookie is set to the bathandbristolmusic.co.uk domain so accessing the forums using drumcraft.co.uk won't pick up the cookies. The quickest and easiest solution is to have the drumcraft.co.uk address redirect to the other.

Thanks Shaggy

Makes sense - I think the redirect keeps the drumcraft URL in the address bar by using frames. I'll see if there is an alternative way of setting up the redirect, as you suggest.

You're welcome. I'd suggest using some sort of splash page for the drumcraft address with a link to that loads your forum in the parent frame, i.e. the main window.
