Hi,

I have been struggling with an annoyance with my forum for a while now. I posted about it earlier but have not been able to resolve it as of yet.

Every time someone on the board replies to an existing post, they get the message:

There has been a problem!
there was an error = Object required

followed by a link to go back and fix their post. As it turns out, the reply does get posted and people thereby think they are not and end up posting a bunch of times. This is a real annoyance.

Our ISP says that they have isolated the problem to the Ad Rotator Mod because when they take out the include, the problem goes away.

Initially, we thought that the problem was becasue we were using the wrong email component because I was using CDONTS and I should have been using ASPMail. We turned on the email option and it appears that is now working but the error has not gone away.

I am a non-ASP savvy guy. My guy at my ISP says that the problem is related to a function within the Ad Rotator code (I think). He said it is trying to open a record set that doesn't exist (or something like that). I don't know why this only happens when one is either replying to a post or modifying a post, but that is when this error occurs and it is repeatable.

Any help is appreciated. I am growing desperate!

Thanks,

Steve Soltz
