The subroutine doUCount in the file inc_func_count.asp, is what handles the updating of the members post count. It is called from line 1936 and 1949 in your post_info.asp file when you make a topic or reply.

You could probably do some testing to see if the subroutine is being executed when they do a post and find the problem.

In inc_func_count.asp, in the sub doUCount add the following code:
Response.Write "count updated"
anywhere inside of the subroutine. Right before the code end sub you can put it.

Then ask one of those users that are experiencing the problem, for thier password to thier account so you can test it. Then login with thier username, make a few posts and see if you see the text "count updated" after you make the post.

Davio's suggestion sounds good to me. A last question, though? Does this happen with all users you had prior to the upgrade? Does it happen with users created after the upgrade? I know it didn't happen with the test user...

Davio,

I'll try that...good suggestion.

Rui,

I was thinking the same thing. My administrator account was active before the update, though, and it seems to be increasing.

I'll check some things out, thanks...

I haven't had the chance to try the advice here yet, but I do have more information:

The reason those who have tried to repeat the error have not succeeded is because it is only happening when people REPLY to posts. This must obviously be related to the other problem I am having found here:

http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=54106

As it turns out, when people reply, they get the error found at the above topic and their post count, last post date and anything besides the actual post (I think) are not being updated.

If this helps shed light on my problem, I would love to hear about it!

Thanks again,

Steve, I'm not familiar with the mod, but why not remove it while you don't figure what is wrong with it?

I see. Are you able to browse the mod's code and find out objects that are used by it and that may be missing in your server?
