I installed your Access site with mods and got the following three errors:

When I clicked Member Files:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a004c'
Path not found
/MSBCForum/membersFiles.asp, line 424

On the following errors, the files DO exist in the forum "root" folder.

When I clicked Members: (members.asp)
The page cannot be found

When I clicked Private Messages: (pm_view.asp)
The page cannot be found

Appreciate any help.
Ken

I fixed the two "page not found" errors! It was "operator error" :(

Choppermc has tried to help me via email but I guess I am dense. I am still getting this error even though I have my path set up correctly in the C:\inetpub folder.
When I click the Member Files link:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a004c'
Path not found
/MSBCForum/membersFiles.asp, line 424

Is there a way to take out the member files mod and remove it from the menu at the top of the forum page?

Also, I get this error when I try to add a URL to the Links page:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0009'

Subscript out of range: '[number: 0]'

/MSBCForum/links.asp, line 883

When I click on Links Administration I get this error:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e10'

No value given for one or more required parameters.

/MSBCForum/admin_Links.asp, line 584

Appreciate any help.
Ken

Ken, post a link to a text version of your membersFiles.asp and your links.asp or email them to me so I can have a look.

Oh....Is that it?

I appreciate the offer but I just took the links out of the two nav bar asp files.

Which calendar mod do you use? Having trouble getting the recurring each year to work for birthdays set up as calendar events. I wanted to put all the BDs in myself and turned off the BD feature in the profile. That way I can get people's BD in the forum without them having to register.

Also, can you change the YEAR in a calendar event manually (i.e. go into the field and change from "04" to "05" or do you have to use the popup calendar for the date change?

Thanks a lot!

I'm trying to convert my existing access database over to this forum but I'm having many errors. What's the best way in obtaining the script files to update my database for these mods?

run4priz, you should have a zip with all the mod db scripts called "db_mod_files.zip" in the main zip file. try running those scripts into your exsisting data base but make a back up befor you do.
You may run in to brobs if you have other mods installed on that data base that are not incuded in my list of mods.

Oh....Is that it?

I don't know if this is the "just the way it is" or not but the polls won't preview on your demo site. When I post the poll, it comes out fine.

Choppermc,

I was able to switch over my database to work w/ your forum modifications. However, I have one glitch I'm trying to figure out. The "My Page" link only works for the super admin. For all other members I get the following:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e14'

Syntax error in ORDER BY clause.

/forum2/my.asp, line 392
