In admin_home.asp look for this at line 133 and delete it:

" <LI><span class=""spnMessageText""><a href=""admin_newspost.asp"">Add News</a></LI>" & _

I must have gotten carried away when adding all the links in.

I have made a few modifications to the admin_cms_content.asp, just to make things a little more user friendly when adding and edditing content for the portal. I riped the code straight out of post.asp
Extra features I have added are:

  • screen size changer

  • preview button

  • spellchecker

  • file upload and attach

  • and get smiles

I think as long as you have the filesharing and spellchecker mod on your forum it will work with any one who has Davids portal mod

It seemd to work good for me, but let me know if you try it and find any probs. I wont put it in the zip just yet.

Oh....Is that it?

I forgot about the links mod compatibility with access, as I remember now, I had to change "show=1" to "showlinks=1" etc, in all the links manger mod files for mysql compatibility including portal.asp.

here is a fix up pack 33kb for those whow have installed this forum with the access database. just drop the 5 files in this zip into your forum folder to fix links manager.

I will update the zip tonight

Oh....Is that it?

Ludo, you will have to edit your inc_UploadConfig.asp. there are many settings you can change in this file. The one that you are after is "PATHS" at about line 130. Make sure that the paths are correct for you.

Ludo, Image resize is already configured, but if you need to make changes have a good look at resizeimgs.js Remeber that it takes into account the users screen resolution as well.
Here is the read me if you need it: www.freedomregain.com/files/auto_resize_images-34-10.zip

when going to create new categories I receive this error....

quote:
Microsoft VBScript compilation error '800a0408'

Invalid character

/post_info.asp, line 2095

my_Conn.Execute (strSql),,adCmdTeHq•Ó adExecuteNoRecords
-----------------------------------^

Upon checking the post_info.asp file I only find the my_Conn.Execute (strSql) call but not the ,,adCmdTeHq statement. This also happens when I go to post a message as well, same error. How do I fix this?
