Couldn't find any posts that address this issue - the closest I could find was http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53078.

I have a relatively unmodified forum, running the latest version of Snitz utilizing an Access 2000 database. I'm probably being paranoid, but I'd like to hide the Forum/Super Admin (the first account created that has rights to install Mods) name from the Members' List. I haven't found a Mod that does this - the Active Users Mod permits you to hide a user from displaying if he or she is logged in, but what I would like is something that will permit me to "mask" or "hide" this username from the Members' List.

Come to think of it, that wouldn't be a bad feature to incorporate into future versions - the ability of administrators to select usernames and hide them from the member list.

Any ideas appreciated. Thanks.

Rather than hide it from the Admin list, why not go in to your profile and change the title? This then over rides any generic title like Admin to be over written. I generally change my title to be something like the normal users title. That way they do not know your level and easy to do in the mean time.

Cheers,

DOH! I assumed that the name was static, and couldn't be modified. Thanks.

I'm going to follow Jezmeister's suggestion and rename it - but I'd still be interested in your mod. Thanks!

What about having the ability to "hide" your email address from the Forum FAQ and registry page? I get so much spam because I have a famous site and email harvesters visit daily...

What I did there was go through every page that displays the admin e-mail address and change the links manually to point to my site's contact page.
