I got my new Inspiron 5150 Dell laptop today. It has an internal Dell WLAN 1350 wireless networking card. I'd like to connect it to my Linksys 802.11g wireless router.

When I attempt to connect it to the network (In the Utility, it says it has a full connection/signal) it causes all the other wired and wireless clients on the network to lose connectivity until the wireless network card in the laptop is disabled.

I'm not using WEP or WPA, there is no security at all.

Anyone have any ideas?

It's signal could be too high and is therefore blocking the other machines, if you can, try reducing the power output of your laptops wifi

how would I go about that? And it's kicking the wired clients off too, not just the wireless.

It was the router firmware, For future reference...the Linksys WRT54G is not compatible with the Dell WLAN 1350 card unless the firmware is upgraded.

All good now.
