Hi -- I have recently set up a Snitz forum on our church web site...and I can't sing the praises loudly enough. It is so superior to the discussion group we were previously using. Thank you for that.
However, I have a youth that is having trouble registering with the site. I'd say I did something wrong in the setup, and maybe I did, but about 12 people have already successfully registered with the forum.
I will really appreciate if anyone can offer any suggestions that will help this youth.
She says that when she "agrees" with the Terms of Agreement, nothing happens and she is not presented with the screen that allows registration.
Do you think that there could be a setting in her computer that is preventing her registration? ....a security setting perhaps? ...if so, would you be able to offer specific suggestions to get around it or turn it off?
Thanks in advance for any advice that you can offer. cneubie
This is a problem with Norton Internet Security and a few other firewalls that block the sending of HTTP_REFERER to the server and has been discussed here many, many times. Have a search through the Mod (W/Code) forum for the referer mod.
Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.”
