I am currently using the free DUportal application from http://www.duware.com
Its a great application, however, the one area where it is lacking is its forums. Having long been a snitz fan, i would very much like to implement it into my portal site.
The issues i can think of are: - Combining the registration process - Linking data from two seperate databases (portal/forum) - displaying last posts on portal homepage.
Being a complete ASP novice, im not able to do this myself. But for someone wh knows his around ASP, i dont think it would be an impssible prospect.
My site is in my sig, if anyone fanices taking on the challenge, frankyl, id be delighted *lol*

All the mods you have are available on Snitz, it would be more wise to modify Snitz to your needs and scrap duware. |

I agree with DavidRhodes, you can create the look and functionality of your site using Snitz - I did it for Modus Operandi |

I thought that whenever you had Snitz content on the page you had to have the "Powered by" text or graphic on the page as well ? |

Are you talking about Modus Operandi? If so, it is - in the middle column. |

Do you mean the Portal MOD ? Snitz on it's on is not a portal at all. |

well, yes using snitz as a portal, either by doing it manually or using one of the portal mods dosent represent a high quality application, it seesm a shame that everyone is soo focused on getting snitz to be the complete product that it suffers becuase people concentrate so much on making it THE solution, not A solution. |

There are a lot ways of integrating Snitz with any portal application - if you like Duware solution, use it. I would do the integration for you if you are not able to do it yourself. Send me an email and let's see how we are going... |
